Hi,

I've just bought Halcyon Eclipse system and I have problem with backplate pad installation. It seems that attached nuts don't match bolts... or maybe I do something wrong.
I try to screw the bolt into the nut in the way you can see on my picture (sorry, it's very simple). Is it right way?

Looks right to me. Mine came with some thread locker on the bolts so they were tight. I also wonder if the nuts have a slight taper to them as they are very tight to thread on and off.

Damn... it's impossible to screw them. The nuts would need some blocker cause they rotate with the bolt when I try to screw the bolt....

You really need to hold the nuts securely. You can’t use your fingers. You need to hold them with a wrench or some vise grips.

Sometimes they fit, sometimes they don't. If they don't you can use a bunch of short pieces of bungee and that works very well.

Really expected more from such a brand like Halcyon.... the pad doesn't fit perfectly - I have to strech it using force to secure down holes, it collides a little with waist strap, nuts and bolts doesn't fit... Manual is outdated...
By the way - I thought that maybe I get the pad for small backplate, what are dimensions for standard one?

Did you search for any YouTube videos?

I guess I got lucky. Mine came already assembled from the dive shop.

I did but found nothing what would solve the problem

I have same problem.
Trying to attach Halcyon backplate pad with Apeks stainless steel backplate. It doesnt fit right, it pushes up the waist band. I noticed also that the middle holes of the pad, has nowhere to be screwed, as the apeks backplate hasnt such a hole in the middle of the backplate.

I would like to get a suggestion from someone about a pad that fits right with the Apeks backplate.
