Hair and Wetsuits

Hey, hope this is in the right section.. but before I get fully into SCUBA I have a question for the males (and maybe females:06 on the board.. Does putting on and taking off a wetsuit hurt if you have body hair? (legs or chest or arms for example) cause they look like they go on pretty tight... And also if it does, would you reccomend waxing it (or whatever) or is the pain bareable.. Thanks for the info... sorry if this seems like a dumb question / or is in the wrong section.

Only if you have especially sticky body hair

No it doesn't hurt. But if you want to wax, don't let that stop you....

Allright thats good.. so it wouldnt be like rubbing an elastic band over yourself.. or getting hockey tape off :S.

You're worried about the pain of your wetsuit pulling your hair out and your potential solution is waxing??? Ow.

Go to the "Exposure Suits" forum. There's a thread running there that mentions the Henderson Insta-Dry as being quite the depilatory suit.

I have no personal experience, but still.........:icon10: !!!!

That is like saying I think I may get a hang nail so I am pulling all my nails. Buy a skinsuit, it should help with hair pulling .... GOod Luck,,

I find it helps to wrap your entire body up to the neck in duck tape, the outer part of the tape not being sticky makes doffing and donning the suit easy. Its like a dry suit only theres no chance of air going down the legs and inverting you. You wont see many other people trying it, but im a genius and I assure you, its the only way to go.



Seriously though, its not a problem. (I play hockey too)
