Hello to all and some help please,
New to this forum, I reside in the Brazilian Amazonas.
I do hosting outfitting for sports fishing, (peacockbass) and business has gone to sxxx.
I am a diver and wish to relocate back somewhat north, but south of the keys.

Now if you were going to relocate, set up a dive shop & dive boat service, with perhaps a "ultralite" photo touring, who nows what else, WHERE would you target?

Must be in the Americas, but south of the keys.
Whats hot in diving?

Keep in mind we may encounter EVEN WORSE foriegn travel problems in the future!
So where am I going to go?

Help me here, and you can be part of planning this project, just like you have dreamed off.
I would be glad to host you down for a week, expenses only.

I'm looking for inside info, here.

I would find out which island nations are most cordial in terms of Brizillian Nationals coming ashore to set up a business.

This will provide you with your list of real options.

"ultralite photo touring"? Does this involve an "ultralight aircraft" carrying passengers for photography? That complicates things considerably.

I appreciate your foresight in terms of what is coming next in light of the dwindling tourist dollar. The closer you get to the United States, not only in proximity, but in ease of air flights (for US as well as EU clients), the better your chances. There are delightful islands that offer no financial hope in terms of tourist business- the money simply doesn't go there... yet.

Is Cuba open to American tourists?
And if so how is the diving there? Good reefs and such?

I have been thinking Turks & Caicos, possiably. Opinions here?

Anybody, where would you go to set up business?

I am American, and yes I was referring to operating a "Xodiak float-aircraft" (yes ultralite) to take tourists on a tour for sightseeing and photos around the island.
This is done in some parts of the world, operating from the beaches. However there are new craft mounted to a 12" Zodiak" and makes for a real winner to takeoff/land where ever you wish around the beaches, etc.
I'm looking to add any attraction to attract clients which add up to $$.

I'll even give back-rubs, TO CERTAIN SELECTED, clients. (My selection! and usually white bikinis, maybe red, or yellow, well possiably striped, but no polka-dots).
