I am the proud owner of a SHINY NEW PHOTON TORPEDO Backup light. After it was shipped it only took three days for delivery. So, here are my thoughts so far.......WOW:D . What a solid piece of equipment. I tend to examine things, looking for that little flaw so that I can berate myself for spending so much. Nothing! This light is immaculate. And it even came with 3 C-cell BATTERIES!! Just looking at the light beam I am convinced that it will easily serve its purpose. This thing is bright. And also has a very good focused Clean light distribution(?) And a very bright white light as opposed to the xenon and other bulbs. It has a dual O-ring to prevent leakage, and the light head turns clockwise to turn it on, this is actually tightening the head so that you do not accidentally turn it too far and flood the battery compartment. Easy to operate, no more trying to slide a lever and lock with cold gloved hands. I am very impressed with this light and cant wait to see how it performs in the water. Although its titled as a Backup light, I think its probably bright enough at 5.5 watts to be used as a primary for everyday use. (at least until I can afford my primary canister light!:eyebrow: ) If your looking for a great light check this out. http://www.cnsales.net/photontorpedopage.htm
