We have a lovely little micro brewery not to far from us called the Church key brewing company. They make a nice Northumberland ale and a few months ago they had a chocolate lager. The Northumberland is nice for a light beer but I found the lager had a grainy aftertaste. Like putting cocoa in your mouth dry. I much prefer the dark beers.

Northumberland ale? Do they put cobalt in it like Newcastle used to?

Funny that I'm the first Irish person to reply to this thread, and I can't stand the stuff!!! We all know that Guinness is good for You, But an average Irish Guinness drinker will often have between 8 and 15 pints in every sitting! often every night. Wich I'm sure You'll all agree that this will far outway any of the possitive side effects. Taken in moderation Guinness is a great tonic, doctors often recommend pregnant women have a pint a day to replace iron and other essential minerals. By all means continue to enjoy Your Guinness, just remember that You'll have to come to Ireland for the real thing, the Diving is bloody good too!!!! :06:

I like Guinness just fine, but my favorite brew is one made on this side of the pond - Anchor Porter. <Homer Simpson gurgling and drooling noise>

I'm going to stay uncharacteristically quiet.

Do I smell KFC in the building?

For once I am being good and someone takes it bad. What's a girl to do. :06:

Kenetically Flattened Cow?

Aint no fried chicken here sistah! Dropped that gig 15 years ago - if you see chicken on my plate, it came off my oak/hickory filled grill!! ;)

Nothing for the girl to do except look at the source of the bad mind... :D

Well then, with that said I will be quiet for a little bit before I get myself banned again. The urge to be a bad girl is right there on the tip of my fingers. :11:

I to enjoy a Guiness. My friend, with proud Irish roots, makes a drink called a car bomb. It' like a boiler maker with Guiness, Irish cream, and Irish whiskey. Not a sipping drink...
