so i know that ppl post this all the time but i'm excited and wanted to post too...I finally got certified. i just finished up my dives today, it was over two days with 4 scuba dives and one skin dive. i had a blast... i didn't know what to expect at all but it was awesome...i thought scuba in the pool was cool but open water rocks...it was in a local quarry (phillips quarry in muncie Indiana). vis. was about 20 ft or so and the lowest temp we hit was 48 degrees. so definatley lotsa fun and i cannot wait to find a dive buddy so i can dive all the time.

Well, we do all start at the beginning some time or another. Congratulations on your certification and good luck finding a buddy in your area.

Where did you do your dives? I am from Carmel, indiana and will be coming home for the month of July and am looking for people to dive with, and places to go... I have heard of a few quarries in the area, and then lake michigan, and some lakes/springs in southern indiana.... where else is there?

Welcome to the Club! But WATCH OUT! I learned to dive in Wisconsin, and now I'm an instructor on a small island in the middle of the Pacific Ocean.....

IT COULD HAPPEN TO YOU!

Thats Awesome. I just got my c-card a couple weeks ago. I have been wanting to for years but never had the time. Now all I want to do is dive in any free time I have! And the best of luck on finding a good buddy.

What island would you be refering to? An Atoll maybe? I only ask because I may be going out to Kwajalein in the near future.

Saipan, CNMI, USA.

Diving out here is great. You're gonna get hooked.

I grew up and still live in Racine, Wis, where in Wis are you from?

I got my C-card in March, in Puerto Rico. I love it, amazing, awesome sport.
