You dont need to do a doubles primer before fundies. You’re Fundamentals course will be the primer, it just won’t go into detail about cylinder bands, euros, concave, etc.

I’m going to say that’s a bad idea. You are sufficiently task loaded during fundies that this is not the time to learning how to reach your valves or do the basics of a valve drill.

My teammate on fundies had 20 more dives than me and 1 dive in doubles before the course. He got a rec pass.

Doubles and dry suit is a different monster from what I’ve been told and you can’t have zero experience and combine the two or you’ll “hop” along the bottom.
