HAL A LOO YA Brother!!! I have SEEN the LIGHT and am now SAVED :boom: :boom: :boom:

No...wait...the kid just turned on the damn HID light again.

Never mind :(

Now folks, lets not get overheated. Some of us havn't been on the board as long as others and this is still fresh to us. All I was doing is pointing out the similarities between GUE and cults, and there ARE similarities. Obviously some nerves have been rubbed raw in the past. Those people might not want to participate.
There. Wasn't that calm and reasonable?:)

If we join will we have to distribute BP&W for donations at airports located in popular dive locations, while wearing black Speedos? :D

And a polite, informed and intelligent person would use SEARCH to see if this has been already addressed, and if already addressed would post any further questions or observations in an existing topic.

Go do your homework. Try searching on, oh I don't know, how about "cult" for starters? (40 hits).

With over 100 replies one would think you'd know this.

Roak

I feel like I'm visiting Gettysburg...there's been a great battle fought here in the past. What is about GUE that set off the war?
What issues are there to "flog"? How could people get so much emotion tied up in a diving training method?

But... the same topics keep coming up. Apeks vs ScubaPro, Buoyancy issues, etc... I think we have to take into consideration that everyone may have a specific concern/question that may or may not be answered in other threads. And looking at some of those threads would make me ask the question over again too! Threads tend to lead other places from where the original poster wanted them to go. I for sure wouldn't read through 5 pages of replies to find out that the topic never got answered... I simply don't have that kind of time.

I do see your point though, and have brought it up in the past as well.

Heck, look where this one went! :off:

Why do I keep replying? Ugh, I need to fight the addiction... is there a patch out for this yet like there is for quitting smoking?

It's the nature of a message board that topics get recycled. The most interesting probably got discussed by the first 100 people on the board. Now that there are 5900 others we might want to get their views also. Obviously this GUE stuff touches people off. Look at how many replys have come in during the last half hour. Look at how rude some people have gotten over...what? Wearing a long hose wrapped around your neck? Wearing a cave diving outfit to dive a 20' reef? Something didn't get resolved.

As for the people that think it's been "flogged to death" there are hundreds of threads on this board. Go read one and stop acting like an a**** because some other people are curious.:)
