I'm taking the Florida Master Naturalist courses and did a 2-minute talk on the goliath grouper. One of my fellow naturalists-in-training asked me why the grouper is called the grouper. I had no idea... I guessed that it was because they "group" together? Do any of you have any idea? I know they get together in large groups when they spawn, but a lot of fish do that.
