My Understanding (and this is directly from the owner's) is the manager there was offered a position in his previous profession and the owners just did not have the time to devote to re-training a new manager. They are too busy in their other stores in Kitchener and Port Elgin to give the time needed for re training someone new. I know the store was doing quite well before it closed so it was not the victim of poor sales. Many of the regulars were sorry to see it close. The owners said they were sorry to close it but had to set priorities with their time

They've been having to replace their Orangveille managers about every 3 years. Seems they just get someone nicely up to speed and they move on. The other stores are owner operated (Bruce in Kitchener and Doug in Port Elgin), with Orangeville being jointly owned by Bruce & Doug, so it's a lot of time and driving for them during the training period, not to mention the expense for training in service and inspections. I understand the operation could be purchased as a franchise if someone wants to get into the business.
