All the last min Qs coming to mind! AllWest does transfer from the airport, so we'd have to drive back out for our "big shop" of the week...which is the closest major grocery store? We mostly like to play hard and keep eating simple on our trips.

Also, if we do some of the hiking (will mostly be diving), are keens with socks sufficient or do we need sneakers too? Dive gear takes up so much space, we try to minimize everything else!

Thank you!!!!

download and install MAPS.ME, and install the Curacao map. From there, you can search grocery stores (or anything else).

We hit the Centrum (large, modern grocery store) on the way out of Willemstad to Westpunt and plan on a once a week restocking visit. There is a “larger than convenience store” in Tera Kora depending on what you need, but its produce is sparse enough we generally go the extra few miles back to Centrum. YMMV

Ask ahead of time to have the allwest driver stop at a market on the way out. You can get some basics to cover the first night and morning at one of the two small markets on the drive out. Plan on a drive to centrum if you want groceries for the week.

This was from a couple of years ago, but we found New California in Tera Cora to be stocked well enough to hold us a day or two. Then head to Centrum the next day because they will have the best selection.

When we were picked up we offered our driver a nice tip to stop at Centrum.

Answering the footwear question I've never possessed a pair of Keens but we do have some trails with bushes with large thorns and if you do Cristoffelberg then it's a bit of a scramble to the top as is the sunset/sunrise trip up the Tafelberg. Generally wear sneakers. If you head over to Watamula then the rocks there are super sharp too so watch where you step.

That was perfect advice! We love the reef here so much we haven’t gone south yet but will need a few more items soon!
