Hello,

Just completed my Open Water down in Ko Tao, Thailand and I'm absolutely hooked! Stayed on to do my Advanced Open Water and am now travelling through Cambodia.... I've been having the blues though and really miss being underwater. Am considering ditching my plans to travel through Vietnam and Laos cos there's not much diving to be done there. My new found obsession might take me back to Thailand then onto Malaysia and Indonesia where I hear the diving's fantastic... help!! I'm definitely addicted,... is there any remedy... maybe I should just do as much diving as possible until it's out of my system!

Will have to make up my mind soon as Vietnam is only a few hours away,... however the sea beckons and oh how it pulls!!

Tadpole,

I lived on Koh Tao for nearly five years, and no matter how nice it is there, DO NOT MISS CAMBODIA, LAOS AND VIETNAM.

Ankor, particularly the Bayon, makes Giza in Egypt look plain. Cambodia, the only place in the world you can buy barbecued tarantula on a stick (you have to go to a place called streung treng in the north east of PP to get those).

There is good diving in Vietnam, check out Na Trang, there are a couple of dive stores there.

I hear the diving in Viet Nam is great.

Howdy!

Welcome to SB!!

I suppose it's worth mentioning Sihanoukville as a place to get a scuba fix while in Cambodia. There are a few shops in town now and it is a easy bus ride from Phnom Penh. But I would head on over to Na Trang if it had to be one or the other.

Welcome from the big D, dallas texas.
