Just a first post to say hi. I'm a fairly new diver, been certified only a year, and got my Advanced/Research certification last summer. I'm a research biologist at the University of New Hampshire, and most of my (somewhat infrequent) diving is in less than 30ft doing various science stuff. But it's still fun. Getting married next year, hopefully our honeymoon will be somewhere warm, with nice clear water. Wonder what that's like.
I ended up at this forum when I started looking for BCs. The one I'm using is a used one from one of the instructors at the university, and it's more than a little too small. Pretty much everytime I make a major purchase, I go to a forum of some kind, since you get such a mix of real reviews and real experience, not just magazine stuff. Between talking with the divers on the offshore projects and reading these forums, my choices seem to be narrowed to either a Transpac or plate/comfort harness type system (love those quick disconnects :D ). Just call me a tec poser ;)
Anyway, just wanted to introduce myself. This seems to be a great board and I'm learning a lot already.

Hey stackingreasyBBs, welcome to SB. Unusual user name you got there.
SB is a great place to do some scuba equipment research with divers willing to give their 2 cents. Have fun here on the board and good luck on the upcoming dive trip, I mean honeymoon. ;)
