Welcome to the ScubaBoard! Quit bragging about the dive conditions, you're making the rest of us land locked divers green with envy!!!! You sure got the best asssignment a person could ask for..... Enjoy every day of it!!

I'm sure working on it. I heard about this place in 1986...twenty years ago! I finally got my chance, & I'm enjoying each and every day.

Welcome to SB. Maybe if I start trying to transfer now I can make it in twenty years as well.
Have fun.

Howdy from Texas and welcome to SB!

It does help with discussions if you complete your Profile. And it's even more fun when you load an Avatar (personal pic for each post) and a Profile pic. See UserCP to access these if you'd like to...? ;)

If you haven't yet, click Forums above and start going thru the list - looking for those of interest to you, especially your local dive club. Click the link in my Sig below to PM me if I can help you around here..

I passed my PADI open water written final last night! A few more dives and I'm certified. I really can't wait. Due to local regulations I'm required to take an advanced course within six months. Should I get right on it or is it better to wait a bit, while I gain experience diving?

Either is fine, probably. This has been debated her significantly without a final decision, with the suggestions that...
>> If you do it right away, you'll gain from additional training; or
>> If you gain experience frist, the Aow will be more meaningful.

A hundred dives from now, it won't really matter which way. Do whichever you prefer. ;)

Being a IT (Geek) person, my schedule is crazy and unpredictable, so I think I'll try to sneak the advanced class in as soon as I can. If I wait Mr Murphy will slip in and keep me too busy, while my 6 month time frame evaporates.
Thanks for the advice,
Clancy

Congratulation on you new certification...Clancy

Clancy:
Recently moved to Kwaj, just got settled, and I'm currently taking a PADI open Water course. Love the water, new to diving. So far so good. I'll probably ask lots of equipment questions before I pull out my wallet. I promise I'll search first!

VANDENBERG AIR FORCE BASE, California (AP) -- The Air Force launched an unarmed intercontinental ballistic missile early Wednesday, officials said, in a test flight that blasted open a 105-ton silo door for the first time in years.
The Minuteman 3 missile's dummy warhead traveled about 4,200 miles in about 20 minutes, hitting a target at the Kwajalein Atoll in the western chain of the Marshall Islands.
