Sounds like partially my local conditions, but warmer. Like that!
But you see quiet other things and creatures under water.

I should consider come back and try.

Enjoy Maledives! Never been there as well ... are you sure your suit fits into carry-on luggage? Well ok if its like 3mm its light and thin. But on the way back it still might be a bit wet, so maybe then its better to put that into checked luggage. So remember thst for the weight check of your luggage.
Will be flying with Malaysian Airline which allows 35kg checked in and 7kg hand carry (so generous!) . Probably will pack the wetsuit into hand carry on the way to Maldives and then as check-in luggage on the way back.

Feel free to DM or hit me up if you're in town!
I seldom encounter tourist diving in Hong Kong. Nearby places like Thailand, Philippines and Okinawa, Japan offer more sightings with a lowest cost. But there's nothing to lose in trying out diving in Hong Kong either!

Been reading SB posts for quite sometime.
Decided to finally register an account to ask and answer questions.

I have been diving locally in Hong Kong, as well as abroad in Thailand and Japan.
Will go my on first liveaboard trip in Maldives at the end of year - Tips and advice are welcome!
Please feel free to drop me any message!

Good plan!

Thanks for the offer, try to remember that and will do so! But I am afraif there is nothing planned within the next years.
Same to you, if you are not afraid of cold german lakes.

Hong Kong is an amazing place to dive, just not in the winter for me. Tung Ping Chao is a great place, highly recommend it!
