Welcome to the board Shane. No matter what everyone says about Baitedstorm, and no matter how much she denies these things, she will throw you under the bus if given the chance. It is funny reading this thread actually watching everyone claim their innocence!

You will find that for the most part these are fun loving people and I hope to dive with you sooner than later.

Dont stress the small stuff. I look at it this way---If you have never done a sand dive then you do not dive enough!

The cards were stacked against us to begin with. I havent dove that area since the hurricanes and had no idea the whole reef is now a sand dive.

Hey guy,

Thanks alot for all the welcoming to your board. I can see you are all proud of this board and rightly so. I do have several friends that post here often however none have been as instra"mental" as Vicki in getting me to post. I enjoy meeting people and would love to meet everyone here and get some diving in. I dive alot with Vicki. Infact I will be on her boat this weekend. I know I will be there Saturday but not real sure about Sunday. If anyone knows of any Deaf Divers that wish to go and have some fun then Sunday will be the day. This is yes you guessed it a plug for one of our other instructors. His name is Chris and he is Deaf, he is bringing one of his deaf highschool classes to dive with Vicki aboard A1A's boat on Sunday.

Vicki you will be glad to hear that Chris requested you and ONLY you to be his DM for the day.

As for my fellow Instructor in Kissimmee - I am always up for meeting fellow instructors and enjoy learning from them.

Funny you should mention the sand dive thing. She told me that she specialized in them. Hey, whatever blows your skirt up....

If you're interested, PM me and we can talk tech details (such as where to get the best deals on Tequila - KBecks favorite. But wait, she's switched! She likes Rum now - we're doomed!) like shops and stuff like that.

Yay!!! :07: I had such a wonderful time with him and his students. I was scared at first that I wouldn't be able to communicate well enough with them, whoa! I was wrong. The two students were just so cute with their excitement, it truly felt good to be able to share that with them. I went by the local community college today in an attempt to register for a sign language class. To my disappointment, it was full. I was told to check back May 6th to see if anyone canceled , didn't pay, or dropped out.
I'm reading up on some of the simple signs until I can take a class somewhere else.

I'm very excited to get you on our board Shane, i know your slamming most of the day, but I also know you have a lot to offer and to be learned from. Welcome again! :10:

Matt thanks for the Welcome, I actually have talked with you in the past. A friend of mine told me about you and your quest and I attempted to come up with a solution for you. Unfortunately we were not able to make it work. I know if you try long enough you will reach your goal.

Thanks again to you baitedstorm for the praise but believe me I have alot to learn. Every weekend is a new learning experience it seems. This may not be the place to talk about this but, I found out that the mask system we were test diving this past weekend was not setup right by the REP, hence the issues I was having. I am glad you decided not to dive it, I think you would have been turned off on the whole idea as I am leaning to that side at the moment unless I can get more info on why it did what it did to me. Anyways I guess I can venture out from this thread now into the wide wide world of the online msg board.
