Oh, c'mon, Monterey's not cold... ;-) I will agree, however, the sealife at Monterey is phenomenal.

I've been to Pt Lobos once just last month (11/3). It was a beautiful day topside, great viz (20'-25'), and not too much surge. I remember some granite pinnacles which we followed down to about 110'. Pretty amazing. Lots of rockfish. Hydrocoral. I don't remember much else, because it was my first drysuit dive and I was distracted with fiddling with a new set of buoyancy issues.
