Hi All,

SCUBA diving has always been on my "Want to do" list and now it's finally getting close to the top (other priorities always seemed to get in the way).

So now I am almost ready to head down that path. I have a coworker who is ready to go with me and my girlfriend is intrigued by the idea.

I have spoken with my LDS a few times (Wet Set Scuba www.wetsetscuba.com in Stockbridge GA) and am pretty excited though I am not signed up for any classes yet. My goal is to get in as many dives and get my proficiency up over the course of the next year, so as to make a Truk Lagoon trip in early 2006.

Hope to get to know you all and suck your brains for info and tips :) I'll warn you now, my nickname on another board was, "For Crying Out Loud, Can you have a post with less than 500 words?"

Regards,
Chris

Welcome to ScubaBoard! :happywave

You are about to embark on an incredible journey and adventure! This is a great resource for all things SCUBA. Try to post your questions one or two at a time and you'll probably get the best response than if you try and ask 20 questions in the same post.

Keep us informed about your progress!

Dive safe!

Christian

P.S. Due to the high volume of new posts in the Introductions and Greets forum, it's not always possible to keep up with all the new posts here. So, please help me out and send me a PM if you post anything you want me to read or repsond to in this forum.

:sunny Hi there! My name is Matt. Welcome to Scuba Board! I came here looking for help with my diving dream. I’ve met a lot of nice divers and many helpful divers too. I think you will get the information you need from SB. I look forward to reading more of your posts about your diving adventures. If you’d like to chat, please PM me.
I am looking forward to seeing you some more around the boards!

Thanks for the warm welcome gang. I am sure this place will not only be a great resource but a rollicking good time to boot!

See you all on the boards.

Chris

Howdy!

I just want to join the others in welcoming you to SB. Hope to get to know you around the forums. Check our New To Scuba forums, and since you'll njeed a lot of practice before getting that far out - check your local dive club forum here.

It's gonna' be a little quite around here for the next week, as our Florida friends prepare for a big storm, :sofa: endure it, then get their electricty going again. Bear with us. I'm leaving tonight to dive Canadian wrecks.

Completing your Profile and seperately - keeping your Dive Info up to date helps in future diving instructions. PM me if I can help you learn your way around.

Hi All,

SCUBA diving has always been on my "Want to do" list and now it's finally getting close to the top (other priorities always seemed to get in the way).

I have only one regret about scuba diving, I should have done it SOONER! I've always wanted to dive, grewup wanting to be an Oceanographer in a land locked state. WAIT NO LONGER, you will have no regrets on this giant stride!!!

Welcome to ScubaBoard! I hope that you can get diving soon, I can almost guarentee that you will enjoy it! There is a lot to learn here, and hopefully you can post about some of your own diving experiences soon! If I can help ya with anything, PM me! Otherwise, I hope to get to know you around that boards!
