Hi, I'm going on a cruise in Nov that hits 4 greek islands (Split, Croatia - Kerkyra (Corfu), Greece - Piraeus, Greece - Mykonos, Greece - Katakolon, Greece - At Sea - Venice, Italy

My wife and I would love to go for a dive but all the shops we've googled seem to shut down at the end of Oct.... Does anyone know of a spot at any of these places that we could get a couple of dives in on our travels? Also why do they only operate until Oct? I'm better the water is a lot warmer than here in NL

Thanks!

Hi pugsame. In november weather can be a little tricky. It may be windy or rainy at times. If weather is ok, i'm sure that you can find a dive center in Corfu, Mykonos and maybe Katakalon which is located at the western side of Peloponnisos.

Here are some sites i found out for Corfu:
corfu diving center - diving center at Corfu Greece (says its open all year)
.::Corfu Diving - About us::.

Mykonos:
Mykonos Diving Center at Psarou Beach

Katakolo:
Katakolo is small enough and i'm sure once there you can find somebody to ask if there is a diving center to go diving around there.
The only thing i could find is this
PYXIDA, Olympian Village Hotel, tel. 2621054649 , which seems to be a diving center within a hotel near where you'll be. Give them a call.
If you have enough time (one full day) you can take a sort trip to Zakynthos.

Not so many interesting places to go diving in Athens. You can go near Athens though. Many diving centers go diving with boats in islands near Athens. But again you must have the luxury of time.

Hope i helped.

This is a very late reply, I haven't signed in since I guess. Thanks for the information! Everything was closed for the "winter" even though the ocean was warm enough to skinny dip in, and warmer than the pool on the cruise ship actually. So no diving for us, we were told it was very unseasonably warm there at the time.

Thanks again for the pointers, we tried some of those places but they were shut down for the season.
