As most people post things when things go wrong with a purchase or serivce from their local dive shop, I thought I would relate a more positive story.

Rec Diving in Royal Oak, Michigan is one of 3 dive shops I frequent (lots of different equipment and service needs). I took my Scuba Pro Mark 25/S600's in for service last Friday. I asked for a 10 day turn around as I am leaving for Fiji on the 16th (I know I waited a bit long, but I went down to the Keys a couple of weeks ago).

Well today just over a week later I stopped by the store and sure enough the reg was serviced - including a new yoke seat (the big metal part that seals against the the "O" ring. Charlie the full time service tech said mine had seen better days after nearly 300 dives and replaced mine as part of the free parts deal.

He also noted that my Air Integrated computer (Oceanic) is reading about 200psi low. I pretty much knew this as my computer usuall shows fills in the 2700 - 2800 psi range. I might send this in for service some time, but as long as it is reading less than my actual #, I am staying on the safe side.

So if you are looking for good service in DTW for Scuba Pro or Oceanic equipment, Charlie is the man so see.

The midwestern work ethic...never seen anything like it, myself.

Congrats to Rec Diving in Royal Oaks, Michigan. You are lucky to have such a shop near you. I love hearing these stories.
