I don't know anything about the great escape, but I have heard pretty terrible things about Eco.

Billy

I've done two dive boats with Eco... they are not bad...just full of students. Also, if you wait to book until a day or two before the trip, they will give you a discount, if you ask for one. Especially if you are calling on Sat for the Sunday boat. Basically, they train students on weekends. Off beach on Sat... good students go on boat on Sunday, those that need more help, go to Avalon Casino Pt...

So, they often have spots open on Sat for SUnday/ I got to go on the Pac Star to Clemente for $100, instead of $140. Ron and Dave and co are great...young... cute, too! The plethora of students is the ONLY heartbreaker...

i ahve also been on an Eco boat. it was nice. a good group of guys. i also dropped in their store once to get some help on finding a dive site. They made me a copy of a dive map and sent me on my way. they were really helpful and had a very neat shop. I wish it were closer to home!

Hi and thanks to all for the responses. I'll read my schedules more carefully regarding the correct boat (D'oh!) and really appreciate all the feedback on the GE.

As it turns out, I won't be making the trip this weekend-- a tidal wave of work has crashed upon me.

But, for the record, I was certified through Eco Dive. I think Ron and Beth are very caring, dedicated people. My path to the C-Card was fraught with peril, but I never doubted their attention or care for my well-being, or their abilities in or out of the water.

Happy weekend, y'all!
