Hi all
I have just finished reading
Neutral Bouyancy
adventures in a liquid world
By Tim Ecott
ISBN 0-140-28730-2

It is a fantastic read combining the history of diving with modern day adventures around the world. A personal account of Tims diving and his quest to explore the history of the sport.

if you get a chance have a read. It is very well written and one of those books you can't put down.

I recently read the book and thought it was a worthwhile read. The author has a writing style that is coherent and captivating. Even the chapter on the sponge industry in the Florida Keys was interesting.

To everyone who was put off by reviews in British newspapers and literary supplements that dubbed Tim Ecott "the Nick Hornby of scuba diving", I would say that comparison is unfair. There is very little of the self-indulgent first-person harping characteristic of Hornby novels. Most of the book is about history and science put in a very readable format.

I, too, enjoyed that one, as well as "Rapture of the Deep and other dive stories you probably shouldn't know" and "Down Time" The first one is a collection of interesting dive stories but not as historically informative as "Nuetral Bouyancy"
