I use an O2 compatible lubricant on all of my pressure guage spools regardless if the EAN mix - just to keep it simple.

I tend to lube those o-rings , the brass spool and the threaded connection fairly heavily. That is probably the hardest connection to rid of SW after a dive as the pressure drives the water in and even long soaks have a hard time getting it out. I don't see the harm that too much lube can do there. It is well downstream of your breathing gas.

Is christolube O2 compatible? If not, what is?

Yes it is. There is also another oxygen compatible lubricant, Tribolube (66 and 71), but I personally don't know anyone who uses it. I use Cristolube myself.

Kind regards,
Thomas

You should only put a small thin film of lubricant on these. NEVER gob them up. A little lube goes a long way. Christolube, Triolube, Krytox, Halocarbon are all oxygen compatible lubes.

Cheers
