We went to dive Mcabbe on Friday, and my buddy had arrived a little earlier than I did and said she kept seeing a seal swimming back and forth. That was no seal. It was a gray whale swimming inside the cove, in just 20ft of water. It's possible it was a calf given it's very small size and the depth it was swimming in. Unfortunately, by the time we were suited up and in the water, it had already left, which was so disappointing. It would have made this the best dive ever.
Other than that, conditions were really good. There was an insane amount of zooplankton in the water, but that didn't impact vis that greatly. Vis was easily 30ft. On the second dive there were large comb jellies everywhere.
