I have used Divers Down many times. They have an 8 person max and run dives off 7 mile beach including Kittiwake. Most dives start on the wall at 100 feet and end with a 50 or so footer. I rent from them as well. No question that Sunset House would be good and right on 7 mile.

Sunset House is not on 7 mile beach ,it is south of Georgetown.

Hello everyone, thanks again for all the insight. We booked a house on East End, so my daughter and I both will likely dive with Ocean Frontiers or Tortuga. I see Tortuga does not offer a Kittiwake dive, and OF offers a 1 tank dive that departs West End. I am wondering if I should dive on East End with OF or Tortuga, but book the Kittiwake with someone else? Any thoughts or recommendations on this one?

I personally would do all my diving with Ocean Frontiers. Since you have to drive either way, IDK whether it's worth diving the Kittiwake with someone else except to dive with another operator. Or if the OF schedule doesn't work with yours - afaik they only do that dive once a week. Makes sense because they probably move a boat.

If you were going to do that, I might try to find someone who will take you out there in the morning then take you/your daughter to Stingray City in the afternoon after she's certified. Although if she's small, the Stingrays can be a little intimidating, they're 4-5' across, muscular and rub against you trying to get you to drop the squid. It's also only a 15' dive and she can stay in the perimeter for less interaction if desired. If they don't smell the squid, you're of no interest to them.

I think she could dive the Kittiwake also if you/her instructor thought she was capable of it, the bottom of the boat is at 60ish' - the top nearly breaks the surface. Or she could snorkel it while you dive.

IDK what jr. ow limits are so...
