Grand Cayman diving in December with kids

Going to Grand Cayman for Christmas with my family--two boys 11 and 13, both recent junior divers. We will be staying in a rented house just off the beach on the north end of 7 mile beach. Need a recommendation for a dive shop in the area that will be attentive to our boys. Thanks.

DiveTech at Turtle Farm Reef is probably the closest to your location and is a well-run operation.

I am not sure what "attentive" implies. On a typical boat dive, the DM is a guide, NOT a buddy. His function is to do the dive using a safe profile. If you choose to follow him, you will not get lost and your dive will be within RDP limits. Your safety is up to you. That is true of any dive op, really. It would fall to yourself to buddy with the youngsters. You may wish to consider hiring a DM specifically to buddy with your sons.

if you want more service after you see how it goes, you could always hire an extra DM for a little more help/ supervision. private DM's are very reasonable in most places. You could even ask the operator when you are booking the package, for a deal.

Sounds wonderful, your kids will have many great memories. Find a DM with a little camera and maybe you can even get some pictures of your family diving together, so you can remind your kids how great you are. Having some extra hands around with kids, especially when YOU are on vacation too, is an idea that gets overlooked.
