Hi,
does anyone have the exact GPS coordinates for the buoy and for the stern (center) of the USS Spiegel Grove.

We got some coordinates, but it is not clear if they are for the buoy or for the stern.

We need coordinates to place the 3D model.

Thanks

AM

I don't have the answer for you.

I can tell you there are eight mooring balls. How exact were you trying to get? There is some variation depending on the current -- including where they have been underwater. :(

Hi John_B,

.... I can tell you there are eight mooring balls.... :(

Do You know where are the mooring balls attached to on the ship?
Are they connected by chain or by a line?
Do you have images of the mooring balls?

As much as possible :D

Thank You.

Who else remembers when you didn't need a GPS, only a pair of binoculars, to find the Spiegel Grove?

I remember that was the first way I saw the Speigel Grove... upside down and sticking out of the water.

Now days it's just as easy to find. Just take your boat out and look for all the other boats tied to mooring buoy's
