It does sound like a batfish. But batfish don't normally grow more than foot or so. The mystery remains. Sorry :depressed:

That looks really close to it. Maybe my dude was just a healthy size lol. He was just over
a foot id say. Fat and wide. Cubby says it looks like it too. Especially the top picture.
