guys, I live in the UK … there’s not gonna be a million dollar lawsuit here …

Just to be sure if I drain it entirely and refill it with air, I should be ok, isn’t it?
I wouldn't take a change. There may be residue left in it.

Them checking sounds biased. Them paying for a lab to test it sounds honest.
 
I'd be surprised if they even admit to anything wrong, if they did even that much they might be worth keeping as an LDS. Admitting and cleaning / filling the tank would be ideal.
 
The shop came clean on this. They said that they had a burnt filter or something like that but said I was only the second person to have come back to report it.

They will clean my cylinder and refill it.
