What are you even talking about? So what you can breathe. Lionfish are an invasive species in these waters. You need a tank to get to them at 125'. Are you suggesting that if you have a scuba rig on you shouldn't spear fish, even if that fish is an invasive species at a depth beyond freediving capabilities?
If that's your point, then you're a putz. "Hey, you've got scuba on, so let the lionfish kill of the native species reducing marine biomass critically and watch the marine ecology die!"
Good call idiot.
And no fish was "repeatedly" speared. At the beginning that fish was missed 3 times. And yes, it was amusing. That was his first time spearing. He was using my pole as I was videotaping. The entire purpose of that charter was to hunt lionfish. I just wanted a dive behind the camera, so I gave him my pole. And no he doesn't need a laser guide. People miss, especially their first time out.
People like you ruin the scuba community, and give a bad name to spearfishermen.
