There are several possibilities but the first question would be do you get any green photos topside? If so, you have a defective camera and green photos are a known defect. If not, then you are getting into a problem with the auto white balance battling the colored filter. The AWB on GoPros is very touchy and slightest change in color balance in a photo can push it from color one profile to another. And the profiles are far enough apart in the effects they apply that the jump is usually pretty obvious. (If you ever done an evening to dusk timelapse, you will have seen this happen.) About the only suggestion would be to try a better quality filter to see if this resolves the problem.

No green photos on the surface, then again we don't take many stills on the surface with it. Ok we will try a different filter, was hoping the glass polar pro would have been sufficient but guess not.

You might try updating or reloading the software. I had a similar problem and that corrected it.

Think you have condensation inside the housing/lens!
Happend to me during a dive while rec video.. all green scenes... checked the housing during the dive, and no doubt that was it... gp3 black+
Not shure wat caused it tho, was just borrowed.

As flareside said it's the well documented Auto WB problem caused by using filters and changing light especially when shooting towards the sun or surface. To avoid it you need to use Protune and set WB to RAW.
