Your gps works under water? I didn't know they did that. Is it a regular gps unit, water proof to xx feet or do you have a special unit.

The GPS is claimed waterproof but not depth rated. Wouldn't matter, they don't receive UW. I mount it on my flag buoy using a bicycle mount on PVC. I can put it in a baggy before clipping it in to keep the ocean off. I have used a floating otter box (that's the dive with the poor georesolution.)

The first guy I saw using GPS while diving was my buddy Wade back in Nov. 2001 and he documented it for all on his webpage: Wadespage

It's very slick for scouting out the bug spots since it also explains how to compensate for the scope in the flag line :wink:
