If I use Google earth, while simultaneously wearing all my gear, will I be able to count those as logged dives?

Not yet but PADI is working on that certification. It is called a Google Diver....not to be confused with the Wikipedia Diver as witnessed on here quite often.

As long as you are breathing off your tank, then why not?

Yes, but it takes 3 google dives to count as one ocean dive.

I think that you'll need an iPhone with an underwater case and the Google Earth app for that

I downloaded ver. 5.0, they don't have the Grove yet.

Is this only for major landmarks of the ocean and wont cover in detail your local dive sites ?
