"The researchers believe the nanotextured surface can be made at low enough cost to be applied to optical devices, the screens of smartphones and televisions, solar panels, car windshields and even windows in buildings"
And I believe that the people selling said nanotextured surfaces is going to do what retailers always does. Make sure its 10x more expensive than it need to be..

Most new technologies are expensive when they first come out..CD-burners/players, laptops, OS's [took MS/Gates long enough to get it right !!!!] dive computers, led/lcd etc.....Nano technology has been around for awhile...... It'll find it's place and uses and as the cost of production comes down it'll become common place......Look at the history of aluminum and cell phones....Be nice to have fog-free masks, of course makers of 'defogger' will have to adjust........Now if they could just make a 4000psi tank the size/weight of an AL40 :O !!!!!......
