I have a MX-10 as well and it does a fair job, but it is a little over the "inexpensive" range. In the low end area I like the Ikelite Auto35 as well, but I have seen some nice shots from some of the new digitals....seems like it was one of the Reefmasters. Think if I were looking for a new, low end (or high end for that matter)camera I would seriously consider a digital. The film cost will quickly make up for the difference in the purchase price.
