My friend and I are going to be visting Koh Phi Phi Don for 4 nights / 3.5 days this week.

I'd like to do some diving while I am there - likely a trip to Hin Daeng and Hin Muang for me (I have 60+ dives and AOW) and another site for my friend and I to do together (he just finished his open water this week in Koh Tao) - I'd love a reccomendation for a second day of diving that would be suitable for a beginner

We'd also appreciate any advice/suggestions on a dive operator on Phi Phi Don who has a fast boat to Hin Daeng and Hin Muang, and recommendations for budget accomodations on the island

Thank you!

Hi,

I used to live in Phi Phi for almost 5 years, so I would recommend a day trip out to the Bida Islands, Bida Nok and/or Bida Nai, most of the dive operators will only visit one of these dive sites a day so ask around. For Hin Daeng/Hin Muang I would recommend checking on the tide tables at a dive shop and asking how strong the currents will be, as it can be a tough dive if the currents are strong, especially for your friend.

As for a dive centre I would recommend Moskito Divers as probably the best operator on the island. Be aware that most companies will share speedboats to Hin Daeng so the boats do get very busy.

If you decide to come over to Phuket I would be happy to arrange some great diving from here.

Hope you have a great time.
