I tried golf ball recovery one time. Two hours of hunting netted me 1,000 golf balls and the guy paid me $.06 / ball so I walked away with $60. It wasn't bad pay but two things scared me. My gear didn't smell real great after I got out. It took a couple other freshwater dives before my wetsuit smelled right again. Also, another diver showed up in the parking lot from another course to unload her find and she only had 123 golf balls. Two hours of work and he gave her $7.38. This is presumably after she rented a tank or at the very least had one filled. Assuming I made $30/hour+ every time it might have been worth it but the idea that I could work for two hours and take home practically nothing was enough to make me not come back to it.

Gets to the point you have to look at the date before you post; but Jesus, Dec '07 - wow; my (and GolfDiver's - but he gets a pass b/c he's new) bad!!!!!
