Two must do dives are the manta dive and a black water dive. If Jacks isn't doing the blackwater, let me know and I will hook you up with someone who is. Look for the blackwater threads here on ohana for details. The manta is rated an number one night dive in the world, the black water is better!
Enjoy your visit.
Aloha!

We'll be in Kona in July and plan to do some diving -

What's the black water? We've done the manta dive before - definitely awesome, especially with a small group. We'll be doing that one again.

Any recommendations for some good lava formations - tubes, pinnacles, etc. accessible from a shore dive or an outfit that does these dives? We've got some great places we know about to go back to for fishes and stuff but it would be fun to explore some nice lava formations. Any suggestions?
