ChrisM:
I'll be there Saturday.

I am not a big fan of the show <snip> I've never found the show to be that helpful. I'm not interested in most new stuff by most dive manufacturers.
Chris

I didn't get to DEMA this year, and I want to see the DUI Zip Seam dry gloves. Kind of a schlep just for that, tho.

I dunno. Been too many times. Cool hang, I guess. But I have all my gear, and SC stopped with the 25% off everything coupons a couple of years ago (bought my PST's with those, thank you very much.) So I'll probably pass.

Hey Otter - I see you got 2 choices:

1) Go all "True Lies" and sport the Tux UNDER the Drysuit (Arnie Style)

2) Go Vegas, baby. Full on. Orange Sharkskin suit, creepers, cheezy vest with chips or cigars all over it, raging pork pie hat, big sunglasses with graduated tint, nugget jewelry. You know, Vegas Roadie gear. The full nine. Chicks love a Vegas guy. C'mon, playah - don't let me down.

I will come and endure Casino Night if you roll in all Pimpin'. Ot, you are so money. I will be there - guaranteed.

I am not a big fan of the show, but circumstances allow me to kill two birds with one stone and pick up some photo gear, so I'll take a walk thru

Chris

I guess my real point is that I was surprised that people had not even heard of it. I am interested to go because they are doing intro scuba stuff in the pool and I am dragging along my brother (who doesn't dive) and I think I am just going to hold him under water until he likes it. And I need to look at Dry Suit options for my extremely cold girlfriend.

...to see you both there at Casino Night! Hey Otter, I think Mo2vation wants a buddy there who will be dressed just like him...

will be working at one of the 6-pack booths (6 spaces one big scuba shop) next to the pool all day saturday. Will probably have a heat with a bear on it. Will be at the shop across the bridge all day sunday putting gear together and bench testing it.

Is this group also known as a "as group of drinkers with a diving problem?" ;)
Have we met? I go to the Orange store.

If I get all of my work done by then, I'll be there on Saturday. I've got to work this Sunday.

Sounds like a good idea for someone like me who's planning on getting back into the water after a long hiatus.

Won't make it to the Casino thing, but I'm interested in seeing what they have to offer at the show. I haven't been to one of these things, since around the late '80s or early '90s (don't exactly remember) at the Queen Mary.

I think I read somewhere that they don't sell any gear. Is that true? If so, why not? Seems like a good opportunity for increased revenue.

Maybe I'll meet some of you there. Although, I won't know it, since I don't know what most of you look like.

Christian,
From what I understand there is no cash and carry but you can buy gear and they'll send it to you. You just can't take it with you.
This will be my first scuba show but that's what I've heard.

Thanks Nay! Maybe I'll see something I've "just got to have". :crafty:
