I got my tickets and I'm going to be in Philippines from mid June to the end of June and then Indonesia for the first half of July, 2 weeks each country. I was wondering if those of you who are familiar with these regions can give me advice on where to dive based on the weather and visibility conditions for that time of year, I know its monsoon season so it may be a little tricky and I might have to go to some places which are more protected, or better in this season. I get seasick easily so I'm partly trying to avoid gigantic waves, and also I'd just like to get the current scoop on what is good. So far lots of people have told me to go to Cebu and do Malapascua Island, Bohol, Alona Beach - Apo island, Tubbataha Marine Park in the Sulu Sea, moalboal. I'm just looking for advice on where to narrow it down to based on the timeframe I'm going to be there.

As for Indonesia, I've been told that diving in Bali is good and the topside party stuff is there, but for the great stuff I need to head to Manado, Bunaken, Lembeh Strait. Now I just need to know if this is accurate or if I should stay around Bali (I'm a young guy, I like my fair share of topside activities, as long as its not a huge sacrifice diving-wise). I read more about Lembeh and found out that its muck diving, I'm really into reefs and water clarity for photos so that doesn't sound that keen to me. Is there anywhere else in Indo that is accessible from Bali and that is very intruiging diving and topside-wise?

Dive ops recommendations in either region would be appreciated as well. Thanks in advance and can't wait to get wet! :crafty:
