Wonderful place wonderful people. The portions at mealtime are incredibly large. Only issue is the drive on the road from the airport, unless it has been improved. Ask the driver to stop in the last city if you want to pick up stuff for drinks as alcohol is expensive at the resort.

A group of us stayed at Garden Island in May. We had excellent weather, diving and a fantastic time.

Diving was fantastic. SKIP the kava. Tastes like old socks left in a sports bag for too long.
It gets better the more you drink it, I was as silly as the locals by the end of the two weeks.
I was there a couple of years ago. Beautiful new resort, as it was wiped out by hurricane Winston. Lovely spot, very nice folks, great food. Smallish camera room.
Winston sort of wiped out much of the dive sites at that end of Somo Somo straits, so the better diving can be a long trip from there. But it has been coming back and may be getting better now.
