I wonder how your time learning to dive went - now that you should be back home?

The PADI resort Dive is a safe way to get into diving. You are with a PADI instructor at all times and get to go in a pool first. What could be safer.

My wife did the discover scuba course when we were in Hawaii. She had a little training and then got to make two dives off the boat, instructor holding her hand and working the equipment the whole time. Didn't seem to be anything especially unsafe about it. Certainly seemed safer than when I did my open water certification dives in 4C water in a drysuit.
