I dive in the Caribbean all the time with 5mm booties. I have heavy legs so 3mm wetsuit and 5mm booties with Deep 6 fins are a way of life for me, even in the tropics. Always comfy in the water, and on the boat I will peel down the chest and arms.
Going 2 Cozumel one week - Bring Apex XL RK3 finds that only fit with 5MM Boots or rent something there?

I dive the same setup when in cozumel, board shorts, rash guard, 5 mil boots and rk3s.
