i don't think these are 2004 goals, but this is my list...

training:

SSI AOW
GUE DIRF
GUE Rec Triox
SSI Rescue
DAN courses

diving:

- with my own tanks showing up soon I have all my own gear, so I should be able to do a lot more diving -- hopefully more often than once/week.
- fly out to east coast and dive U-853

i also made a list of skills that i want to work on, irregardless of class requirements:

* proper trim, stop fluttering, only frog kicking
* learn to clip the SPG to the left D-ring by feel
* learn to dump air with the wing dump valve
* learn to watch particulates when ascending (no line, no other divers)
* properly trimmed descents + ascents
* backwards kick
* s-drills while neutral + trimmed
* valve drills while neutral + trimmed
* breathe off free-flowing reg for 2 mins while neutral + trimmed
* mask remove and replace while neutral + trimmed
* manual buddy breathing
* manual buddy breathing while neutral + trimmed
* remove + replace gear at surface
* remove + replace gear at depth
* s-drill with 45 feet separation, 4 min swim while sharing air
* s-drill with 45 feet separation, gas-receipient has flooded mask, 2 mins swim while sharing air
* s-drill with instructor stopping buddy while swimming and requiring attention signal
* shooting SMB, use of SMB
* use of SMB as lift device after simulated failure of other bouyancy devices
* swim up gear after simulated failure of other bouyancy devices
* swim SCUBA with flooded/removed mask for 3 minutes
* swim SCUBA with flooding second stage (leaking exhaust vavle) for 2 mins
* valve breathing drill (valve on/off) while neutral + trimmed
* use of an AL40 stage/bailout bottle

1. Start diving again.(it's been 10 years) don't ask

2. Become a multi billionaire.( that's my goal every year)

3. Become supreme commander of the universe. :eyebrow:

Get OW - Jan '04
AOW in June/July
Maybe nitrox this fall.
50+ dives this year.
Dive in salt water.
Dive from my kayak.
Go to more SB parties.

My goals are simple for this year.

Complete PADI DSAT Instructor course.
Buy another set of twins. (I find I can't have enough tanks)

and

Dive in new and interesting places, wrecks mostly.

Wouldn't mind getting cave certified, but that will have to wait till next year. This years trips and training are all full up for now.

Next year...I make the switch to a rebreather. :eyebrow:

- Dive Homestead Crater (Complete February)
- Dive Cold Water (have new 7 mm!)
- Dive Blue Hole in NM (May 15)
- Dive Lake Champlain (July ?)
- Dive some local resevoirs (Colorado)
- Dive a New Jersey wreck if I make it out there on business
- Dive wrecks of Truk Lagoon (Trip Reserved for November ;) )
- Hit my 100th dive

You'll notice a lot of diving and no instruction. I did my AOW and Nitrox and would just like to spend the $ on actual dives this year. I feel you don't get much from the PADI courses (PADI = Put Another Dollar In). I may take my wreck specialty on the Truk trip, but am trying to save money as that trip is very expensive. I'll make 2005 my year of instruction.

5. Take my twin daughters, age 9, to Disney World in December and dive in the Epcot exhibit with them for their 10th b-day.
My thirteen year old and I are planning to do that dive/outing this upcoming winter when we are back in Epot. It looks and sounds like fun. Get this: She (daughter) tells me that not sure she wants to get in there with me if I use the frog kick :11: She thinks it looks weird and will get embarrassed.

God, its fun being a parent of a teenager.......

thanks now I got to and another thing on my goals for this year dive in the epcot exhibit

My plans include
* Going to a nice exotic location, the plan is to go to Norway this weekend (Oslo), very different from Sweden :)
* Doing some wreck diving, signed up for two weekends in the Baltic sea for some great wreck diving and a trip to Narvik to dive on the WW2 wrecks in the harbor.
* Getting equipment, first of all a HID lamp, second a set of 2x12l tanks including a new set up of regulators to use for nitrox diving.
* Training, finishing Dive master training during the summer.
