Now the sense of urgency (sudden death) is the same for both teams.

The winners go to Philadelphia to play in the World Series and the losers go to play golf with Derek Jeter (and the Yankees) and Manny (Joe Torre and the L.A. Dodgers).

Unfortunately, the team heading for the golf course is the Red Sox. The game was a good game even is the desired outcome did not materialize.

I loved the outcome. The Rays have never done wone more than 70 games in a season prior to this one. This year they are American League Champions. How can you not like that even if you are a Boston fan?
