Hello,, I am desperately trying to repair my old 8mil simidry suit.. But I find that Aquaseal doesn't work well at all..
So I now I'm looking for the yellow glue that factory's and repair shops use.. I have come across a product ,,3M 1300.
IT looks good and pricey ,,,,, has any one ever tried it ??

Aquaseal does Not have the give or flex of neoprene so no good unless for boot uppers to sole and stuff

So I guess this stuff will stretch with the neoprene ?
Can't help wondering who makes this for them ,, what brand it is ?
But if it holds that's all that matter !

Dano is right on the money as usual. Neoprene cement works wonders for fixing tears and split seams, specifically for adhering the edges of neoprene back together. It works much like contact cement, but bonds incredibly well to neoprene. I thorougly coat both edges, let it set, then press together for a good bond. Depending on where the repair is, might need some seam tape on the inside or a top coat on the outside for more strength. You also should completely remove any adhesive from previous repair attempts.

Aquaseal is great for leaks as a layer on the surface, but isn't great for holding neoprene edges together unless you want to use an ugly patch on top.

DRIS drysuit glue is also a neoprene glue, the best I have ever used, just open the lid and find out

Well,,, thanks again for the opinions ,,,, the internet is a wonderful thing,,, i now have a total of 12 different brands of neoprene glue to chose from ....... nothing like a confusion for an old fart ! I have no doubt most are made by the same company... now witch one to try......
