What kind of glue should be used to attach vlecro to neoprene? I have some short 3mm boots I want to add a piece of velcro to as a zipper retainer.
Thanks

The inside flap came apart from my zipper on my 5mm and fixed it with dry suit glue. The suit was completely dry, put the glue on, held it with a clamp for a day and it holds great after over 1 year.

Aquaseal works well and lasts well. Rub it into the fabric covering on the booties over an area slightly larger than the piece of velcro, rub it into the back of the piece of velcro, squish the two together, and position the velcro accurately. Then put a piece of wax paper over the velcro and put a weight on top of the paper to keep the velcro hard against the bootie. When gluing on something irregular in shape like a bootie, it helps to put something inside the bootie to firmly support the area on which you are gluing in a horizontal position. The aquaseal will be completely cured after 24 hours. You can speed this up somewhat by removing the weight and the wax paper after 8-12 hours.

Aquaseal isn't a good choice for joining the edges of two sheets of neoprene, as when making a seam between two sheets of neoprene, because it doesn't form an instant bond like contact cement or wetsuit glue does. However, it works great to join two flat surfaces together when you can clamp or weight the things being joined, and it works great to repair divots and rips in the surface of neoprene.

Agreed! You will notice your booty is sewn together.

It will take about the same amount of time as gluing. Or do both for an over the top mount.
