Saw some divers going into the water at Stage Fort Park w/ their spear guns yesterday. What would be worth spearing around there?

I would guess Flounder and not much else. Well not much else that is legal to spear in MA.

Maybe a tautog(sp?), also. Probably just hopeful thinking on the divers parts. Although they could have a secret flounder spot near there, who knows. You can spearfish for striper in RI waters, but not MA.

LobstaMan

I've had pretty good luck with flounder, and have taken an occasional black bass or cod in MA. A speargun would be overkill though. A pole spear is all you need, and if it's a short one it can double as a hookless tickle stick... when the lobsters need a little bump from their back door.
