I have just started scuba, I have taken the class and pool training. Guys I am having trouble with the Padi dive tables. Can anyone out there help me I plan on taking the test within about 2 weeks the my cert dive as soon as the water warms up. Thank for any help that I might get on the dive tables.

Welcome to Scubaboard. Don't get worked up over the tables. The RDP tables aren't as difficult as it appears in the beginning and anyone, with a bit of practice and persistence, can do table problems. I recommend using the small gray/pink booklet that comes with the RDPs. It breaks it down very simply. There is also an electronic training version that comes with the Open Water Interactive DVD version of training materials (you probably purchased the book version). You could try the eRDPml which is a calculator version of the RDP. Don't hesitate to ask you instructor of a few minutes of individual tutoring if needed.

There is free downloadable program called Table Tutor, that you could also try. Free Dive Table Software

Good luck completing your certifications.

Overthinking things is probably the biggest cause of confusion with the tables. Just find your depth and timeframes, follow the arrows with your fingers, and find the corresponding pressure groups. Working out examples is probably the best way to figure things out.

And read over that gray booklet that came with it, it's invaluable.

Welcome to scubaboard. :)
