Would someone please post what the water temps at Gilboa have been running at the different depths lately? Thanks much.

I'll let you know after this weekend!

But, from previous years, I would expect mid 70's surface to 10, probably a pretty good thermoicline around 20-25 feet taking it to about 60 at the plane. Then probably 45 around the tubes.

:shakehead:That's exactly what I'm afraid of. We're taking some students up in a couple of weeks and I was trying to decide between diving wet or dry.

We went down to the tubes a couple of weeks ago and I went wet, it was not bad.
We had readings of 48 @ the tubes. we were at the upper 50's at the plane.

where I can go to 75' and be in the mid-60's, whereas @ Gilboa you can be 30' Shallower an yet 15 degrees Colder! :(

Gilboa is drysuit country if your > 30' .... (imo)

not that I'll be diving there dry... I'm too poor...

As long as the surface interval lets you warm up, it's wetsuit time!

Once being wet during the SI is a problem, then it's dry suit time.

Thanks Ken, I appreciate it.

OK, what I saw this weekend was: surface to about 25 feet 75. Nice thermocline at about 27 feet taking it down to 65. Another thermocline at about 40 feet, so that it was 50 degrees at the tubes (60').

I don't think I've ever seen it that warm at the tubes.
